Each case uses the same versioned calculation engine as the calculator. Read the assumptions before comparing results; these are demonstrations, not personalised payroll advice. Unless stated otherwise, the worker is resident, employed for 12 months and has no other income, benefits or personal relief.

1. Compare SSF and PF on the same salary
Both cases use NPR 100,000 monthly gross and NPR 60,000 monthly basic. The SSF case uses the automatic 11% employee and 20% employer contributions. The PF case uses 10% each and includes 8.33% employer gratuity as an accrued, unfunded cost.
Compare employee deductions, estimated tax and employer cost together. A different contribution amount does not by itself determine the better employment offer. These examples compare the stored assumptions; they do not establish which scheme an employee may choose.
Monthly take-home is regular cash after estimated remaining TDS. Annual take-home includes annual extras and final estimated tax, so it may differ from monthly take-home multiplied by 12.

2. Add an annual bonus and Dashain allowance
Start from the SSF case and add an annual bonus of NPR 100,000 and festival allowance of NPR 60,000. Regular monthly salary and basic salary stay the same. The annual cash extras total NPR 160,000; they are not repeated in regular salary.
Compare annual gross and annual net with the baseline. Regular monthly net changes through estimated TDS, even though the extra cash is paid separately. Use annual net when comparing an offer containing a one-off bonus.
Monthly take-home is regular cash after estimated remaining TDS. Annual take-home includes annual extras and final estimated tax, so it may differ from monthly take-home multiplied by 12.

3. Reconcile a raise halfway through the year
The first six months paid NPR 80,000 gross and NPR 48,000 basic per month. Earlier regular cash is NPR 480,000, employee SSF NPR 31,680 and employer SSF NPR 63,360. In this example NPR 4,000 has already been withheld as TDS.
For the remaining six months, gross becomes NPR 100,000 and basic NPR 60,000. Enter the earlier totals once, set six remaining months and leave annual bonuses at zero. Earlier TDS is an input to this demonstration, not a claimed correct withholding amount for the first six months.
This case deliberately has earlier withholding above the estimated final liability. Remaining TDS is zero and excess withholding is shown separately; that excess is not added to regular take-home as a refund.
Monthly take-home is regular cash after estimated remaining TDS. Annual take-home includes annual extras and final estimated tax, so it may differ from monthly take-home multiplied by 12.

4. Work backwards from NPR 90,000 take-home
The target is NPR 90,000 regular monthly net with SSF and basic salary set explicitly to 60% of gross. No annual extras or additional relief are entered. This percentage is an editable assumption for this case.
Try the case, then switch the known amount to Gross. The form converts the amount to the solved gross so that you can inspect the forward calculation. If your contract fixes basic salary as a rupee amount, change that assumption before relying on the result.
Monthly take-home is regular cash after estimated remaining TDS. Annual take-home includes annual extras and final estimated tax, so it may differ from monthly take-home multiplied by 12.
