About Talab, maintenance and contact
Talab is a free, independent salary-estimation project for Nepal. Its purpose is to make the components of a salary offer visible: gross cash, employee deductions, tax, take-home and employer cost.
The project and its responsibility
Talab is maintained by the owner of talab.top. It is not operated by Nepal's Inland Revenue Department, the Social Security Fund or an employer, and it does not claim to be a licensed tax adviser. The project contact below handles calculation corrections, content feedback and privacy questions.
The calculation runs in your browser. There is no account, calculation service or salary database. The fiscal-year configuration is versioned, and both the published examples and interactive form use the same calculation engine. Passing software checks does not prove legal correctness or eligibility for relief.
How corrections are maintained
A rule correction should identify the fiscal year, official publication, effective date and affected assumption. It is checked against the versioned parameters and example fixtures before updated pages are generated. A content or layout change is recorded separately from a substantive rule change.
Only dates for recorded changes are shown below. They are not promises of a fixed update schedule. If current legislation or payroll treatment differs from the model, confirm it with the official authority and report the difference before using the estimate for a decision.
Report a calculation problem
Email mukalkee@outlook.com. Include the fiscal year, gross/net/cost mode, monthly or annual period, scheme, basic-salary basis, relevant settings, expected result and result shown. A link to the official rule or a short arithmetic explanation is particularly useful.
Use rounded or invented example amounts where possible. Do not send citizenship numbers, bank details, credentials or unredacted payslips. The same contact accepts translation corrections and reports of broken links.
Recorded changes
Added English and Nepali methodology, worked-scenario, project/contact and privacy pages; public preset links; clearer navigation and empty-ad handling. Restricted AdSense to English calculator pages. Added optional consent-based visit and calculator-use measurement. The fiscal parameters were not changed or independently re-audited in this update.
